CURZON SOHO SHORT FILM SUMMER SCHOOL

The Short Film Summer School (SFSS) is taking place at Curzon Soho from 12th 15th July 2006.

This is the second SFSS produced by Curzon Soho and follows from the very successful inaugural Festival in July 2005. It proved to be arguably the most important platform for the rapidly expanding short film industry in London and the UK. Events are aimed at people of all ability and ages.

SFSS will provide training and skill-building opportunities, workshops, showcases, presentations, masterclasses, short film screenings and networking opportunities. It provides a much needed focal point to bring together all of the organisations that currently make the short film industry happen.

As part of the festival, there is also a HD-Short Competition for the chance to win a weeks worth of HD Kit. The films shortlisted will be screened on the new 2K digital projectors at Curzon Soho.

EMERGEANDSEE, a European non-profit organisation promoting short films from international art colleges and film schools, will also be back in London at the festival with a new selection of student shorts films, music videos and animations from UK, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Portugal, plus a special programme of Short Films about football from their Short Cup' 06 competition, to honour the world cup.

EMERGEANDSEE screening will take place on July 14th from 6pm. Tickets on sale now at the cinema and at the box office 0870 756 4620.

There will be a chance to enjoy free drinks after the screening and a live VJ set. For more information about EMERGEANDSEE please visit www.emergeandsee.org.
