The Pusher Trilogy has arrived with the 12th June 2006 DVD release of the PUSHER triple pack, courtesy of Momentum Pictures.  Demonstrating the films' extraordinary content, style and sheer entertainment value, the DVD release coincides with the high profile NATIONAL FILM THEATRE run featuring all three films, as well as the theatrical release of PUSHER 3 (the final instalment in the trilogy) on Friday June 9th.

Featuring the seminal PUSHER and its two explosive sequels PUSHER 2 and PUSHER 3, this must-have triple pack forms an intricate, gripping and grisly cycle of crime films.  Capturing the nihilism of Fight Club and the grittiness of Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction whilst providing its own edgy and dangerously dark style of verite, the PUSHER trilogy takes you to places that even your imagination dares go.

From Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, each of the PUSHER films is imbued with a shocking understanding of the economics of underworld thugs, the many uses of violence and the in-fighting that corrodes from within the very foundations of this grisly world.

Details for the NFT screenings are available from the BFI's official site.  The programme of PUSHER screenings follow the below schedule:

PUSHER (1996)

A small time drug dealer's life goes from bad to worse in a heartbeat as a sure fire deal turns sour.  The film follows Frank as he frantically tries to find a way out and escape his angry drug suppliers.  Along the way we see the hopeless, desperate and at times extreme decisions forced upon those involved in the Copenhagen underworld.

PUSHER II AKA 'WITH BLOOD ON MY HANDS' (2004)

Last seen bloody and beaten after snitching on a friend, the TRILOGY turns its attention to Tonny.  Released from prison he learns that he has a baby is this career criminal ready to grow up?

PUSHER III AKA 'I'M THE ANGEL OF DEATH' (2006)

It is now the turn of Copenhagen ganglord Milo (who appears throughout the TRILOGY) to feel the pinch when a younger and even more vicious gang roll into town, forcing him to get his own hands dirty for the first time.  Over the course of 24 hours he must broker deals, dispose of corpses and plan his daughter's 25th birthday celebrations.
