SLEUTH -
View Trailer:

Filming has completed on the Jude Law - produced Sleuth  in which Law also stars with Michael Caine.  Kenneth Branagh is directing the updated version of Anthony Shaffer's award-winning play, from a new script by Nobel laureate Harold Pinter, his first film screenplay in over ten years.

A dramatic and thrilling study of sexual conflict, jealousy, power and manipulation handled with both lacerating wit and humour, Sleuth tells the story of a wealthy writer of detective stories (Caine) and an aspiring yet out-of-work actor (Law) who is having an affair with the writer's wife.  The writer's exquisitely modernized Georgian manor becomes the backdrop for a cat and mouse game that pits one creative mind against another.

"Shaffer's play is a brilliant piece of drama" says Law "and Harold Pinter has taken its essence and brought it right up to date with a very clever, biting and funny script.  "It was also very exciting to be working with Michael Caine for the first time and to have secured Kenneth Branagh to direct who brings the perfect combination of wit and intelligence to the project."  "Jude Law and Harold Pinter had developed this exceptional screenplay when I joined them, " adds director Branagh.  "Harold Pinter's freedom with the material makes it a new film, not a remake, and the enthusiasm of these two great actors was very exciting."
The film is produced by Jude Law, Kenneth Branagh, Simon Halfon, Simon Moseley and Marion Pilowsky and co-produced by Ben Jackson, Law's  producing partner in Riff Raff Productions.

Sleuth was made on location and at Twickenham Film Studios and will be released at cinemas in 2008.
