Unknown is a taught, intense and suspenseful thriller that boasts a powerhouse cast, a brilliant premise and a unique visual style. Directed by Simon Brand, the film stars Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, Dj Vu), Academy Award nominated Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine, As Good As It Gets), Barry Pepper (Flags of Our Fathers, Saving Private Ryan), Joe Pantoliano (The Soprano's) and Bridget Moynahan (I, Robot, The Recruit).

Five men wake up in a locked chemical warehouse and realize they don't know who they are and how they got there. The warehouse is secured with bulletproof glass in a desert somewhere. Several have been beaten; one has been shot; one is handcuffed; another tied to a chair. Through time they deduct that some of them are hostages and some are kidnappers. The men now must figure out who is who, as they learned that the lead kidnapper is on his way and plans to kill the hostages. A newspaper on the table carries an article about the kidnapping of two corporate executives. You have 85 minutes to figure out what has happened and whats going to happen next tick-tock

The first feature for director Simon Brand and writer Matthew Waynee, Unknown has a clever premise, a single location and a puzzle-box plot reminiscent of Memento and Reservoir Dogs. Unknown plumbs the psychological depths of the situation. Who can you trust? How quickly can you remember who you really are? And even better, when you do remember, how do you decide if you still want to be that person? Its an entertaining yelling-match-and-reversals-of-dominance brainteaser that will keep you guessing and surprised till the end credit.
