France dominated the game at the Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday, which saw Giroud become France’s highest goalscorer with 52 goals.
Poland’s star striker Robert Lewandowski scored a penalty consolation goal deep into injury time.
France will play the winner of Sunday evening’s clash between England and Senegal in the quarter-finals.
